Lake Berovo

Lake Berovo is a freshwater lake that lies within 7 km of the North Macedonia-Bulgaria Border, near the town of Berovo. Surrounded by evergreen and deciduous type species of forests, the lake is called the "pearl of Malesevo Mountains" by locals. Many locals go to this lake with their families to swim, fish, or sail in the lake, making the lake an important part of their everyday life.

Lake Berovo and its surrounding area are being protected by the Macedonian Forestry Police. However, you can still visit here to see and feel for yourself the magnificent beauty of the lake. There are houses for rent, picnic spaces, and fantastic recreation and sports places close to the lake. Fishing enthusiasts will find their paradise at Berovo Lake. There are several different fish there, including trout, Sharan, chub, barbel, and carp. There are a number of eateries that serve tasty food and offer a great spot for you to enjoy local foods while having a magical view of the Lake, allowing you to unwind physically and mentally.

In May you can witness the blossoming pines, and if you want to refresh yourself in the waters of the Berovo Lake, the best time for you would be in the months of July and August. This area is characterized by fresh summers and cold winters. Come to Lake Berovo, a man can simply inhale the sight that has peacefully spread around him, marveling at all that beauty that is a paradise for the eyes and soul.
