Lake Prespa

On the intersection of North Macedonia, Albania, and Greece is where you'll find Lake Prespa. This is a perfect place to visit after visiting Lake Ohrid since this lake lies in a beautiful and fertile valley just a bit away from the East of lake Ohrid. This is a system of two lakes separated by an isthmus: the Great Prespa Lake, divided between the three countries, and the Little Prespa Lake, mostly within Greece. Standing at an elevation of 853 meters, they are the highest tectonic lakes in the Balkans. T this lake occupies an area of 274 square kilometers, 49.4 sq km of which belong to Albania, and 15.6 sq km to Greece.

The majority of foreign tourism has been clustered around lake Ohrid, where there are abundant overnight accommodations, restaurants, and a lively town center in the summer months. However, this does not make Lake Prespa less interesting for tourists. Visiting Lake Prespa, you'll be able to drown in the breathtaking beauty of nature while having the most relaxing time. The reason for that is that Lake Prespa has subsequently remained somewhat isolated and pastoral. Lots of tourists love coming here with their closed ones to ride boats and camp, enjoying the view and the atmosphere of the lake, which is lake Prespa's own attraction.
