Lake Debar


Lake Debar is an artificial lake in the western portion of North Macedonia, right next to the town of Debar (just 5km away from the town). This lake has the largest amount of water in Macedonian. Visiting this lake, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the lake, while also trying so many other activities like fishing, spa treatment, etc.

From the lake, you can witness the monastery "St. Gjorgji Pobedonosec", which is located just 2 kilometers from Debar. You can go to The Kosovrasti bath near the lake to enjoy the richest sulfurous water in Europe, with a temperature of plus 40 degrees Celsius, or go to the Debar Spa Center with exceptional fango therapy, to enjoy being bathed with mud from the thermo-mineral that are believed to have the ability to treat various types of diseases.
