Lake Bloke
Bloke lake is surrounded by beautiful nature, although it is small, it is rated as one of the most beautiful lakes in Slovenia. Another man-made lake, although this one is surrounded by unspoiled wilderness. Its shore was embellished by locals with amusing handcrafted wooden sculptures, including bears. You can also see live brown bears in the region in addition to statues, but don't worry—they stay away from tourists. One of the several specialist observation locations will have to be used.
The Lake Bloke region is fantastic for day trips or extended vacations at the Hija Glamping resort. A local family built each cabin individually. The only wood utilized came from neighboring forests. There are many different foods and beverages available in a log cabin on the lake. When nature enthusiasts from far and wide congregate to cool down in the shade by the lake on a hot summer day, it may get rather crowded.
Bloke’s water is perfect for swimming in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. Lake Bloke is considerably warmer than some other Slovenian lakes. Skiing in Slovenia originated in the Bloke region. It was initially described by Janez Vajkard Valvasor in his 1689 book "The Glory of the Duchy of Carniola." There is a Bloke small museum nearby where you can witness how the first skiers appeared.
