Lake Trboje
Lake Trboje is an artificial lake west of the village of Trboje in the Gorenjska region of Slovenia. It was created in 1986 as a reservoir for the Mavčiče Hydroelectric Plant by damming the Sava River. Despite its young age, it’s a rich natural habitat with over 140 species of birds. It’s also a popular spot for fishing and bird watching.
Lake Trboje is a popular Stand-up paddling point. It is safe to state that it is not the finest place for anyone with walking difficulties because getting to the shore requires mastering numerous stairs. Everything is forgotten until you reach the water's surface. The descent is worthwhile because of the delectable handcrafted cakes and pastries made with fresh strawberries.
Slovenia is an alpine nation with many lakes of diverse sizes and shapes but very little coastline. You don't have to stick to the two most well-known lakes, Bohinj and Bled. There are also many wonderful, clean rivers that you can swim in if you manage to exhaust your supply of lakes to visit. Start with the freezing Soa river if you're feeling very courageous. So, lake Bloke is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Slovenia.
