Lake Kreda
Lake Kreda is a man-made lake in the Radovna Valley in northwestern Slovenia. The lake got its name from the chalk (Slovene: kreda) that was mined in the area until 1985.
The Kreda Lake in the Radovna River Valley is a beautiful place for swimming, hiking, and a picnic with your family if you're seeking some refreshments or a trip idea.
While the lake is great for cooling down and swimming on hot summer days, you can also enjoy a picnic or vacation there whenever the weather is fine due to its lovely surroundings. Due to its accessibility, the area is a good destination for outings for swimmers, walkers, bikers, and families with young children. The lake is constantly refreshing and clean because it receives a fresh tributary from a stream and is a lovely shade of pastel green. The chalk in the lake is thought to have medicinal properties by the locals.
Currently, half of the lake area is off-limits to guests because it is privately owned. It is only right that all visitors act properly and respectfully toward the owner's property if we want it to stay that way. Anyway, Lake Kreda is one of the most beautiful lakes in Slovenia.
