Langeoog Beach
Langeoog is a beautiful Wadden Sea coastal island (north Germany). The island's beach runs over 9 kilometres (14 km). Because the air on the island is clean and not polluted by gasoline, it is a perfect vacation for asthmatics and people suffering from respiratory problems. Tourists from all over the world visit for beach vacations away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. Locals refer to it as the "island for life." This island is surrounded by nature and is home to people who are health-conscious. It draws families and those recovering from various illnesses.
A ferry can be taken from Bensersiel Port to Langeoog. A train will be waiting for you there to take you to the village train station. For a train schedule, visit www.schiffahrt-langeoog.de. Cars are not permitted on Langeoog. Tourists' vehicles must be parked near the harbour in Bensersiel, where there are lots of parking spots. You can either walk or hire a bike or a horse drawn carriage to go around.
Swimming is popular on Langeoog's beaches. The beach areas are separated throughout the lengthy stretch of shore. There includes a no-smoking beach, a beach for kids, a surfing beach, a dog beach, a beach for sports, and a beach for kite flying. Private foot excursions of the island are available, as are horseback rides along the beaches. Every year, the island hosts a beach volleyball event. Sporting aficionados flock to the island in large numbers. Football, basketball, and tennis are all options. You can also take part in organized beach runs, as well as "Nordic Walking" at the Nordic Walking Park. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can rent a beach chair for the day and rest in the warm sun. Every Wednesday, there are also landscape painting classes.
