Wannsee Beach

For more than a century, this has been the center of Berlin's bathing culture. The lido, which was built in 1907 as a "family pool," contains about 1,275 metres of sandy shoreline. Covered beach chair rentals, a water slide, and expansive sunbathing spots on the beach and in the park—no wish is unmet here. When it becomes particularly hot in Berlin, up to 30,000 guest bathers can be accommodated in a total space of 355,000 square meters. FKK zones cover about 10% of the land. Beach volleyball and soccer are two sports that lend themselves well to physical activity. A recreation center featuring a park and a promenade invites strolling and rejuvenation. A boat rental service, a children's playground, and a variety of gourmet options round out the extensive offering. So leave everything behind and head to the Wannsee!

The Wannsee beach is Europe's largest inland body of water outdoor bathing facility. The Wannsee only becomes deep over a fairly gentle slope, making it ideal for younger swimmers.
