Sellin on Rügen

Some of the nicest beaches in Germany may be found on the country's largest and most popular island. It receives an average of 1,800 hours of sunlight per year, making Rügen one of the sunniest areas in Germany.

It was previously a luxury getaway for aristocratic East Germans, located off the northeast coast. With UNESCO World Heritage sites like the ancient forests and chalk cliffs of Jasmund National Park, it is now everyone's favorite.

There are 37 kilometers of white sand beach. Promenades, piers, and coastal resorts from the 1800s can be found in Binz and Sellin. In the south, Baabe and Göhren have promenades with calm waters that are suitable for families. Prora, with kilometers of fine sand, may be the greatest beach for those looking for an island experience.

Do you want to go to more than one? Take the Rügensche BäderBahn, also known as the Rasender Roland or Raging Roland, which transports sand-covered passengers to four beach entrances.
