Lions

Although lions can pose a threat to zebras, the animals have evolved several defense mechanisms. This is because zebras can kick hard with their hooves and are larger than lions. In order to prevent lions from spotting their young, zebras will frequently form groups with the young in the middle. They disguise themselves with their stripes to make it more difficult for lions to find them. Zebras can nevertheless occasionally become victims of lion attacks despite these adaptations.

However, a zebra can be readily defeated by a lion's pride. Before striking, these zebra predators are known to stalk their victims. They can easily take down a strong and healthy zebra using this strategy while maintaining the element of surprise. These creatures can easily kill a zebra and frequently cooperate to bring down their target. Because they frequently target the weaker members of herds, the young and the old lions pose a particular threat to zebras.
