MakeMyTrip was established in 2000 as an online travel agency based in India. It's a business with headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana. Tickets for flights both local and international, as well as hotel stays, train and bus rides, are all available through the company's website.

As of the 31st of March, 2018, they operated counters in four major airports in India in addition to their 14 company-owned travel stores in those same cities.
