Zomato

Zomato was created in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, and it is an Indian international restaurant aggregator and food delivery firm. More than a thousand Indian cities will have access to Zomato's restaurant reviews, menus, and meal delivery services by 2022.

In 2008, former Bain & Company employees Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah established Zomato under the name FoodieBay. The site's original purpose was to serve as a directory and review platform for eateries. In 2010, the company changed its name to Zomato since its founders weren't sure they would "just stick to food" and because doing so could have caused a naming problem with eBay. In 2011, when.xxx domains were first made available, Zomato established a food pornographic site at zomato.xxx.

From New Delhi to Mumbai to Bangalore to Chennai to Pune to Ahmedabad to Hyderabad, it grew rapidly in 2011.It opened offices in various foreign countries in 2012, including the UAE, Sri Lanka, Qatar, the UK, the Philippines, and South Africa, among others. Website and apps were made available in Turkish, Portuguese, Indonesian, and English in addition to the original languages in 2013, allowing for global expansion into New Zealand, Turkey, Brazil, and Indonesia. It first went live in Portugal in April 2014, then in 2015 expanded to Canada, Lebanon, and Ireland.
