Paytm

The Noida-based Indian multinational Paytm specializes in digital payments and financial services. One97 Communications was established in 2010 by Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Through its QR code, point of sale, and online payment gateway services, the company facilitates the acceptance of payments by both consumers and businesses using mobile devices.

Paytm is able to provide microloans and buy now, pay later options to its customers and merchants because of its partnerships with traditional financial institutions. In addition to money transfers and bill payments, the company offers event tickets, retail brokerage goods, and digital entertainment. On 18 November 2021, the parent company of Paytm, One97 Communications, completed the largest initial public offering (IPO) in India. Paytm's GMV was 8,500 billion (about US$110 billion) in the fiscal year 2021-22.
