Monster by Guy A. Sims
Walter Dean Myers and Guy A. Sims created the wonderful comic book Monster. Dawud Anyabwile's graphics are outstanding and add to the intrigue of this book. This book allows you to understand yourself more clearly, and it is a truly exceptional graphic novel. This adaptation of the novel will spawn a new generation of devotees.
This is a thought-provoking coming-of-age narrative. The plot revolves around a juvenile who got himself into some difficulty and is now facing charges of murder and armed robbery. Steve tells the entire tale as he comes to terms with what is going on, including Juvie, the trial, and his life. He displays his ideas as if he were viewing a film of his own life.
Monster is one of the finest graphic novels because of how fantastic it can be and the influence it can have on teenagers. The biggest disadvantage is that the main character appears to change personas so fast that it is difficult to keep up with. Furthermore, there is little distinction between flashbacks and present-day events. Overall, this is an excellent read.
