Ocean City, MD
Ocean City, which is both affordable and kid-friendly, specializes in the quintessential American beach holiday. You'll discover adrenaline-pumping amusement park attractions, extensive lengths of powdered beaches, delectable blue crabs, and plenty of souvenir stores if you stroll down the Boardwalk. As families frolic on the beach, daring sun-seekers parasail over the ocean, and youngsters shriek inside Ripley's Ocean City's arcades, bright carnival ride lights shine. However, you may also unplug in Ocean City. Bait and tackle shops abound, and a 20-mile journey down the coast will take you to the tranquil Assateague Island National Seashore. There are several golf courses in the region for golfers to enjoy.
Listen to a local radio station, phone the OC Beach Patrol, or go to the town's Beach Patrol website to find out what the day's surfing areas are. In addition, throughout the summer, a piece of the beach along the inlet in the southernmost area of the beach is allocated for surfers from Monday to Friday - except on July 4th. If you'd rather fish than surf, cast your line between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at least 50 yards away from everyone else in the water. Only between October 1 and April 30 is your dog allowed on the beach or boardwalk, and he or she must be leashed at all times.
