In 2010, Shueisha announced that they had sold over 260 million volumes of One Piece, Volume 61 setting a book print record in Japan with 3.8 million copies.
According to Japanese company Oricon, volume 60 was the first book product to sell more than 2 million copies in its first week of release. One Piece is currently rated as the best-selling manga series with a very high readership, more than 280 million. The manga was released in Japan in 2012.
