Palazzo Preca – Valletta

Townhouse Preca, operated by sisters Ramona and Roberta Preca, is a famous 16th century palazzo in Valletta's Strait Street that serves top-notch Mediterranean food. Both the Preca sisters (Ramona and Roberta) worked in their family's Marsascala restaurant Tal-Familja. They were both in their mid-twenties, and at such a young age, one might be tempted to believe they had cut their culinary teeth there.

Diners are greeted by an elegantly decorated space that invites them to sample a variety of fresh fish and seafood, including seabass, prawns, and octopus, as well as the catch of the day. Local Maltese wines nicely complement the flavors of the dishes in the restaurant's wine list. The handcrafted sweets are extremely popular, and the desserts are a sublime way to cap a delicious meal. Palazzo Preca Restaurant serves a range of Mediterranean and Maltese dishes, including spaghetti "mainly recommended with seafood," colorful salads, juicy Irish steaks, traditional roasted rabbit, beef olives, garlic snails, and the signature dish, fresh fish and shellfish delivered daily.
