Port Fairy
An Australian coastal town named Port Fairy is located in southwest Victoria. At the point where the Moyne River meets the Great Australian Bight, it is located on the Princes Highway in the Shire of Moyne, 290 kilometers (180 miles) west of Melbourne and 28 kilometers (17 miles) west of Warrnambool.
This Great Ocean Road treasure was chosen as the world's most livable town in 2012. Since then, Port Fairy has increased the sentimentality of the oceanside by showcasing a beautiful shoreline setting and historic streetscape, as well as a burgeoning dining scene (try Coffin Sally for pizza and mixed drinks or Conlan's Wine Store for good and complex passage paired with regional wines). Port Fairy also boasts a year-round calendar of celebrations of every kind.
In March, the Port Fairy Folk Festival (Folkie to the locals) causes a commotion on the streets. To witness muttonbird rookeries on Griffiths Island in the late spring, bridge the Moyne River Boulevard, go horseback riding in the countryside, or go to Macarthur's lame liquid magma fountain and Crater Lake at Mt Eccles.
