Puss in Boots
Puss in Boots is a computer-animated comedy film that was released in 2011 by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Chris Miller, who also directed Shrek the Third (2007), directed the film, which was based on a screenplay by Tom Wheeler and a narrative by Brian Lynch, Will Davies, and Wheeler.
Rather than being an adaptation of the Puss in Boots fairytale, this Shrek spin-off follows the character Puss in Boots on his exploits before his initial appearance in Shrek 2. (2004). Puss is faced against Jack and Jill, two ruthless outlaws in possession of famous magical beans that lead to a great fortune, accompanied by his buddies, Humpty Dumpty and Kitty Softpaws. Puss in Boots was well-received by reviewers, grossing $554.9 million at the box office, and earning a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 84th Academy Awards.
