Rainbow International School Uganda

Rainbow International School Uganda, which originally opened its doors in 1991, now boasts over 800 students and offers a full English curriculum at all five levels, from foundation to pre-university. RISU is a multicultural, co-educational institution with students from more than sixty nations. A school that strives for academic excellence while also emphasizing the need to offer a holistic education that meets each child's individual requirements. In September 1991, Rainbow International School Uganda (RISU) officially opened as a primary school with 29 students. In September 1995, the school moved to a 9-acre site with purpose-built classrooms and an administration facility.

Six scientific labs, three computer rooms with internet access 24 hours a day, two music rooms, a primary and secondary hall, a theater room, two art rooms, two football pitches, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a 25-meter swimming pool are all available at Rainbow. The school began A-Level studies in the year 2000, and it now has roughly 800 students. RISU adheres to the ideals of the National Curriculum for England and believes in each student's holistic education and development.

Rainbow's curriculum is comprehensive and innovative, focusing on mastery of essential subjects like math, science, English, and ICT. Humanities, the arts, and physical education are also regularly organized for the students. The emphasis in this curriculum is on investigation, thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed learning. Teachers create a lively learning environment in which students approach independent study with excitement and curiosity.
