Ranma 1/2

Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2 (Japanese: らんま 1/2; Hepburn: Ranma Nibun-no-Ichi, pronounced Ranma One-Half) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by her. From August 1987 to March 1996, it was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, with the chapters collected into 38 tankobon volumes by Shogakukan.

This gender-bending manga begins in China, where there is a well-known training spring where martial artists can hone their skills to great levels. Unfortunately, the springs are cursed as well! Ranma, a teen martial artist, falls into the "spring of drowned girls" and now transforms into a woman whenever he is splashed with cold water. That doesn't stop his father from proposing to Akane, the daughter of an old friend and a tough girl who has more important things to worry about than boys.

But Akane isn't the only girl vying for Ranma's attention—two other girls have been betrothed to him as well. But Ranma has more important things to worry about than his love life, such as creating a slew of crazy rivals and even more suitors!
