Shounen Oujo
This gender bender manga begins in the former kingdom of Morrigan, where countless lives were lost as a result of war and rebellion. When women took over all positions of power, new laws mandated that only they could earn income and receive inheritances, while men lost the majority of their rights and were reduced to objects of ridicule. Morrigan grew into a queendom cloaked in illusory peace. People outside of the royal court, in particular, continued to suffer; however, the men were now subjected to the worst of the pain and humiliation.
Albert is a young orphan who lives in the vicinity of Morrigan's harbor. Despite his guardian Martha's warnings, he and his friend Theodore travel to the town center one day to observe preparations for the Queen's birthday festival. Unsurprisingly, because they are boys who are not accompanied by an adult, they are captured by slave traders and immediately sold. An elegantly dressed man offers an exorbitant price to purchase them both, though he clearly prefers Albert.
The man, who introduces himself as Guy Schwarzwald, transports Albert and Theodore to a palace where they will meet their new master. Albert can't decide whether it's more surprising that he's now the property of Princess Alexia Lumiere, heir apparent to the throne, or that she looks exactly like him!
