Red Tails
Red Tails is a 2012 American military film starring Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr., directed by Anthony Hemingway in his feature film directorial debut. During World War II, the Tuskegee Airmen were a group of African-American United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) airmen.
"Red Tails" depicts the struggles of the Tuskegee Airmen, a squad of Black pilots in World War II. It was a personal project for producer George Lucas and had been in the works for more than two decades when it eventually reached theaters. It's a picture featuring action sequences directed by Lucas himself and an all-star ensemble of young and seasoned talent that didn't exactly strike with reviewers upon its initial release, but it's surely deserving of a second look.
