Rolas Island
The blip on the globe that is Rolas Island is known for its glittering white-sand beaches and paradisiacal façade, languishing in the Atlantic like the teardrop of Sao Tome, just a short boat trip away from the southern tip of the island. The beaches are always completely private, tumbling down from the jungle-covered shore in a combination of boulder-dotted bays and vast lengths of sun-splashed white colors.
A trip to Rolas Island is a terrific way to spend a morning or afternoon. Take a boat to the island, which boasts a beautiful sandy beach on a little spit surrounded by blue waters. You may tour the island, which has a tiny fishing community and regularly sees fish drying on racks. There is a lot of coral around the island, and the snorkeling is fantastic. In addition, this place has also a renowned hotel resort here, as well as a monument commemorating the equator's courses, which cross directly in the center of Rolas.
