Chef Lydia Shire, one of the Lobster Restaurants in Boston, is the culinary genius behind several popular eateries and dishes, but her lobster pizza—which she presently serves at Scampo in the Liberty Hotel—might be her most notable contribution to the Boston eating scene. The pie's thin crust is covered in cream sauce and crammed full of lobster, caramelized shallots and garlic, fresh ricotta, and Parmesan cheese. It is the perfect accompaniment to a glass of French rosé for a truly indulgent treat.


Scampo, an unusual Italian eatery, is located on the first floor of the Liberty Hotel in Boston. Chef Lydia Shire pushes the frontiers of cuisine by creating recipes that combine Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Italian flavors. Each menu at Scampo, which serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, is more varied than the one before it. Scampo has something for everyone, whether it's tandoori sea scallops, suckling pig, or burrata from their delectable mozzarella bar. (Lydia's renowned lobster pizza is a requirement for every order.) Not to add that they carefully select their Italian wines and artisan cocktails to go with the food.
