Shalmash waterfall

One of Iran's raging waterfalls, Shalmash Waterfall situated in West Azerbaijan, 15 kilometers south of Sardasht County. It is regarded as one of West Azerbaijan's most significant waterfalls. This county has a surface area of 1411 kilometers and is located at a height of 1500 meters. Its water level is at its maximum in the spring, and it eventually plunges into a lush and lovely valley.

Don't miss the stunning vista of the waterfall and the point where water and rock meet as you descend the valley. This waterfall is best viewed in late spring and from June to mid-autumn. Due to the area's harsh winters, the waterfall may ice, creating a stunning and entrancing scene. There are platforms created in Shalmash for visitors and tourists to rest on. You can even pitch a tent and spend the night there. There are also a store, café, and restrooms.

One after the other, these three cascades are arranged. Visitors need to travel quite a distance and enter a deep valley in order to observe the next two waterfalls. This waterfall is surrounded by several streams throughout the spring. Although it can be a fantastic time to visit the area from early May to mid-fall, the temperature is frigid until May.
