Shevy waterfall

The largest natural waterfall in the Middle East is Shevi Waterfall. Zagros Mountains in the Shahion district of Dezful City, Khuzestan Province, in the village of Shevi.


The Shevi Waterfall emerges from a cave and cascades from a high gorge. The waterfall measures 70 meters in breadth and 85 meters in height. Its water travels over mountains and valleys before entering the Dez River and then the Dez Dam Lake in the province of Khuzestan. Willow, fig, vine, ash (European ash), maple, and oak are some of the species that make up the vegetation surrounding this waterfall. Shevi Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfall in Iran.


This tall waterfall's source is a mountain called Chorvik. A cave whose length has not been investigated can be found at the base of the mountain. It is advised against exploring the cave without the necessary gear and abilities. Summertime walking is challenging, the waterfall's water level is typically lower, and bug bites are also uncomfortable. So, if you want to have a special trip, consider visiting this location in late winter or early spring. Shevy Village is a lovely, lush community next to the waterfall. There, you can stroll and unwind!
