Shirabad Waterfall
The Shirabad Waterfall is located in the northern Iranian province of Golestan, in the village of Shirabad, which is part of the Alborz mountain range. It is located 7 kilometers south of Khanbebin in a forested area.
Twelve huge and minor waterfalls make up the stairway-shaped Shirabad Waterfall. Its deepest plunge pool is 40 to 80 meters (130 to 260 feet) and its tallest waterfall is 30 meters (98 feet) tall. The critically endangered Gorgan salamander resides in a number of neighboring caves.
In the hot summer months, both locals and visitors flock to Shirabad, one of the most well-liked attractions in the region. To avoid crowds and see the falls in peace, begin your hike early in the day. Enjoy routes that are partially shaded while hiking and the tranquil sound of birds tweeting. Enjoy the rich greenery of the woodland and the area's natural splendor. If you have time, take a side trip into one of the caves you'll find along the paths or search the rocks for rare salamanders sheltering there.
