Singapore National Stadium
The National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Opened on June 30, 2014, it was built on the site of the old National Stadium, which was closed in 2007 and demolished in 2010. The 55,000-seat facility serves as the home field. of the Singapore national football team, and is the hub of the Singapore Sports Hub project — a sports and entertainment complex that combines the nearby Singapore Indoor Stadium and other new event venues.
One of the largest dome structures in the world, it features a naturally ventilated design and retractable roof, and comes in configurations for football, rugby, athletics and cricket. The stadium was once the main venue for the 2015 Southeast Asian Games and has hosted matches for the AFF Championship in 2014, 2018 and 2021. The Singapore National Stadium also features a distinctive design. It is known as the world's largest dome structure, once the main venue for Southeast Asia's biggest sporting events.
