Socca (chickpea flour flatbread)

Socca is a popular street meal that originated in Nice, France; this flatbread can be flavored with anything you like, from herbs to chiles and olives. But at its core, Socca is a dish cooked from chickpea flour, water, and olive oil that is grilled in a frying pan by street vendors all across Monaco.


The exterior is known for being crisp and burnt, while the interior is creamy. This is a dish to share, served with a fresh rose, olives, green salad, and a bunch of close friends.
