Stuffed Cabbage Leaves (Töltött Káposzta)
There's an old adage in Hungary that says, "Meat and cabbage are Hungary's coat of arms," and it's quite likely referring to this filled cabbage dish- Töltött Káposzta.
Despite the fact that this proverb is no longer in use, it nevertheless holds true. Cabbage rolls are a national dish of the country that were provided to both the elite and the poor. The cabbage is stuffed with a delicious onion, minced pork, rice, and plenty of seasoning, then sour cream is drizzled on top.
Stuffed cabbage leaves are popular not only in Hungary, but across Eastern Europe. The only difference between this dish and the beef pancakes detailed previously is that cabbage leaves are used instead of pancakes. As a result, if you're trying to reduce weight, this meal can be a good choice.
Cooked and pickled cabbage should be utilized. You'll need minced pork, paprika, and rice to stuff the leaves. This dish is very popular over the holidays, but it's also popular throughout the year.
