In Belgium, there is an international school called the British School of Brussels. It sits on an area of roughly 8 ha (19 acres) in the Flemish Brabant town of Tervuren, east of Brussels, close to the Royal Museum of Central Africa. More than 1350 students, ranging in age from 1 to 18, represent about 70 different nationalities. Primary (ages 1–11) and Secondary (ages 11–18) are the two schools that make up BSB.

The Jacques Rogge Sports Centre is now open on campus thanks to BSB. A 25-meter swimming pool, a gymnastics arena, a dance studio, a fitness center, and a multipurpose sports hall are all features of the new Sports Center.

BSB offers a bilingual English/French program and adheres to an English elementary school curriculum. Native speakers of French and English are sought after as teachers. It provides programs in both languages for students in grades 4 through 14 with a 50/50 schedule.

Up until the age of sixteen, every student completes a British-based curriculum (GCSE and International GCSE). A Levels, BTEC vocational courses, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma are only offered by BSB, the only school in Belgium offering post-16 education.

Additionally, students have the option of pursuing an IB Bilingual Diploma in either Dutch or French and English. To satisfy the needs of a diverse student body, the Primary curriculum offers a customized, skills-based, inquiry-driven approach that was taken from the UK national curriculum.

Ages 1 through 11 can choose from the Primary School curriculum. The Early Childhood Center (ages 1-3), Lower Primary (ages 3-7), and Upper Primary (ages 7-11) have separate facilities at the Primary School. Every section of the Primary School has its own playground and school building.

Students at the British School of Brussels have access to a wide variety of extracurricular clubs and activities, including lunchtime and after-school programs. With the completion of the new Jacques Rogge Sports Centre in 2016, extracurricular activities were further enhanced.

A 25-meter swimming pool, a multipurpose sports hall, a dance studio, a gymnastics arena, and a fitness suite are among the amenities offered by the center. There are also plenty of outdoor facilities, such as tennis courts, grass fields for rugby, football, and hockey games, and three floodlit all-weather pitches.
