The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show was an American television comedy that ran on CBS from October 3, 1961, to June 1, 1966, covering five seasons and 158 half-hour episodes. Calvada Productions collaborated with CBS Television Network on the project, which was shot at Desilu Studios. Dick Van Dyke, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Larry Mathews, and Mary Tyler Moore starred in the sitcom, which was developed by Carl Reiner. It focused on television comedy writer Rob Petrie's job and personal life (Van Dyke). Reiner co-produced the show with Bill Persky and Sam Denoff.
The show was nominated for 15 Emmy Awards. On TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time list in 1997, the episodes "Coast-to-Coast Big Mouth" and "It May Look Like a Walnut" were placed 8 and 15 respectively. The series was named 13 on TV Guide's list of the 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time in 2002, and 20 on their list of the 60 Best Series in 2013.
