Tteokguk
Tteokguk is a dish made with a broth of boiled beef with rice cakes. This is one of the traditional dishes that are usually cooked during the Lunar New Year - one of the biggest holidays in Korea.
Tteokguk is made by cutting 'Garae Tteok', a long strip of rice cake dough, which symbolizes a long life. Or it can also be cut into coin-like circles, symbolizing wealth.
