Universidad Católica Andrés Bello
Andrés Bello Catholic University is also known as Universidad Católica in Spanish. Andrés Bello is a Venezuelan private university. UCAB, one of Venezuela's major universities, has campuses in numerous locations, including Caracas (where the main campus is situated), Los Teques, Guyana, and Coro. The Society of Jesus (Episcopado Venezolano a la Compaa de Jess) formed UCAB in October 1953, named after Venezuelan writer Andrés Bello. It was regarded as the fourth best university in Venezuela and top private university in 2017.
Economics and Social Sciences, Humanities and Education, Engineering, Theology, and the Law School are among the school's academic departments. Postgraduate education is available in all faculties. The university's publications are mostly concerned with human rights and cultural problems. The university's new library, which includes its Cultural Center and Resources for Learning and Research, opened in 2013 with the purpose of providing state-of-the-art services to teachers and students. On-line courses and remote learning are also available at the institution.
The Spanish edition of the International Criminal Court Moot Competition, held in The Hague in 2016, was won by UCAB law students. The university's Model United Nations team has been active since 1996 and has earned Harvard University's best delegation award.
