University of Zulia
The Institution of Zulia is a public university in Maracaibo, Venezuela, with its main campus in the city. LUZ is one of Venezuela's largest and most prominent universities. There are three campuses of the University of Zulia: two in Zulia State, in the towns of Maracaibo (the largest and most significant of the three) and Cabimas, and one in Falcón State, in the city of Punto Fijo.
The University of Zulia was founded in 1891 when the Federal College of Maracaibo was transformed into a university. The institution now has three campuses, two of which are in Zulia State and one in the city of Punto Fijo, which is in Falcón State. The university is a research and teaching center. It was founded on strong values like ethics, justice, freedom, and autonomy in order to provide students with an amazing education that would provide them with the tools they need to thrive in both their professional and personal lives. Agronomy, Architecture, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Dance, and many, many more undergraduate degree programs are available at Universidad del Zulia.
The academic and administrative staff of the institution are both well competent. LUZ now has over 75,000 students enrolled in its programs. 148 students are from countries other than Venezuela. The university is divided into eleven faculties. It consists of 27 institutions and offers more than 100 graduate programs that train students for 56 different vocations. LUZ's 4,000 instructors are top academics and industry experts willing to share their knowledge and provide students with important insights into their fields of expertise.
