University of the East, Venezuela
The University of the East (UDO) is located in Barcelona, Venezuela's Estado Anzoátegui. It is known as Universidad de Oriente in the area. In 1958, the university was founded. Venezuela's Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Educación Superior has accredited it.
Sucre, Anzoátegui, Monagas, Bolvar, and Nueva Esparta are the locations of the university's five campuses. In Barcelona, there is a vast campus that is close to the enormous city of Puerto La Cruz, one of Venezuela's most beautiful tourist destinations.
The University of East is characterized as a higher education system that serves the region and has common aims with other institutions in Venezuela and throughout the world in terms of planning. However, it is unique, experimental, and independent, and innovative in the creation of professional units of Basic Courses, departmentalization, semi-annual periods, the credit unit system, intensive courses, and so on. Its mission is to develop scientific research, teaching, and extension in all aspects of knowledge, and it offers undergraduate and graduate educational programs. It is almost the polar opposite of the traditional university campus, which is located in the nuclei university in Anzoátegui, Bolvar, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, and Sucre, assuming responsibility for education from their home university and serving as a key driver for overall development throughout the island region east and south, depending on conditions and possible development trends in each of the Eastern States where they operate.
