University of Carabobo
The Institution of Carabobo is a Venezuelan autonomous and public university in Valencia. It provides graduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields. The institution has several green places for students to enjoy as well as architectural art across the faculties, a theater, and two dining halls. There are around 65,000 students, the majority of them are from the country's central region. The main campus is located in Bárbula, in the municipality of Naguanagua, north of Valencia. In La Morita, Maracay, Aragua State, the University of Carabobo maintains a center.
After the coup d'état that overthrew the dictatorship of Perez Jimenez in 1958, the university reopened. It bought the disused railway station in Camoruco, about 3 kilometers from the city center, which had become obsolete after the rail connection to Puerto Cabello was discontinued. The "Rectorado" of the University continues to be housed at the converted railway station.
The University of Carabobo's green areas and architecture, as well as its theater, are well-known. Approximately 65,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled at the university.
