Zia Lucia has become your favorite non-family member. The name is Italian for "Aunt Lucy," and the pleasant-looking lady beaming out at you from the logo was the idea for this delightful neighborhood pizza, which was launched in June 2016 by Highbury residents Gianluca and Claudio. While it's branding, flavors, and setting are all on point, the establishment nevertheless exudes the kind of old-world charm that can only be found at an Italian family feast.

The menu's USP is the variety of doughs available: there's a wonderfully nutty wholemeal choice; an impressive-looking vegetable charcoal crust that's meant to improve digestion; and a gluten-free crust that's been garnering fantastic reviews from people who eschew nature's elastic. They're intriguing, but they don't really change the flavor, and at £1.50 per pizza, they discreetly nudge the cost away from the cheap territory. The pizza maker has added a couple more Haute Italian options: the Arianna with mozzarella, sausage, taleggio, pecorino, and truffle honey could almost be Caesar's morning buffet.

It makes no difference what you purchase because every single ingredient is of the highest quality. Even the flour is the priciest on the market. The 'Tagliere,' a shared board of meats and cheeses all cut to order and marvelously fresh, exemplifies this attention to flavor. Zia Lucia is one of the best pizza takeaways for delivery in London.
