  3. Externity Monument Complex is a historical monument that has become one of Chisinau's most popular tourist attractions. 5. Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, is known as a green European capital. Chisinau offers many fascinating destinations for tourists and visitors to visit, including as museums and historical and architectural landmarks. The most intriguing are the emples and cathedrals, which each depict a particular period and page of Moldavian history. The Cathedral of Christ's Nativity is the primary cathedral of Moldova's Moldovan Orthodox Church. Its edifice became one of Chisinau's outstanding examples of Russian architecture.

The Cathedral of Christ's Nativity is a magnificent Neoclassical masterpiece. It combines Byzantine and Renaissance elements, as well as Greek themes. Worship was forbidden during the Soviet era, and the cathedral was converted into an exhibition center. It is capped by a beautiful dome, and six columns flank the church's main entrance. The bells on the Bell Tower opposite the temple sound every hour. The Nativity Cathedral was bombed during World War II. Due of the multiple destructions that the cathedral has endured over time, the structure has undergone several restorations and form changes.

  7. Chisinau is home to the Ciuflea Monastery, commonly known as the St. Theodor Tiron Convent. This Moldovan Orthodox monastery, dedicated to Saint Theodore of Amasea, is a must-see on any Chisinau travel itinerary. It was built in 1858 to mark the outside edge of Chisinau, having been commissioned by a wealthy merchant called Anastase Ciuflea in honor of his departed brother Theodore. If you like religious architecture and wish to witness a picture-perfect Russian church, you should go to the Ciuflea Monastery.

Russian architecture has a particular personality. The stunning blue hue of the buildings makes it incredibly beautiful and worth viewing. Russian architecture is stunning, dramatic, and awe-inspiring due to the onion-shaped domes, the use of vibrant colors on rooftops that sparkle against the light blue sky, and the distinctly old-school style. The interiors are unmistakably Russian Baroque. The monastery is one of Chisinau's most notable examples of Russian Byzantine architecture.

It is close to the city center. This lovely monastery is just a 20-minute walk from Chisinau's city center. As you arrived, there was a woman praying for more than 15 minutes straight from the microphones surrounding the monastery grounds. Women were given cloths to cover their hair at the entry.

  8. Chisinau's city center has many locations to see, particularly the distinctive monuments and attractive parks. The Triumphal Arch, on the other hand, draws the attention of any tourist that decides to visit our city. This monument, located in Chisinau's centre plaza, has become a symbol of victory. "The Arch of Victory" is another name for the Triumphal Arch. The Triumphal Arch in Chisinau was built to commemorate Russian forces' victory over the Turkish army during the 1806-1812 conflict.

The building is 13 meters tall, has a typical square style, and is clearly divided into two stages. The structure's lowest tier is comprised of four sturdy pylons ornately adorned with typical Corinthian columns, providing it a royal air. On the side is a wonderful clock that chimes every fifteen minutes. The Arch is well-known for its unique history, in addition to its architectural value. After the Russians vanquished the Turks in 1829, Tsar Nikolai I, one of the most prominent military heroes, approved the manufacturing of bells from seized Turkish canons. Sadly, the bells were too enormous for the Arch, prompting the building of a neighbouring second belfry.

There are three bells on the second floor of the building, but you can readily spot enormous and gorgeous clocks in front of it. The presence of the timepieces on the arch is the subject of an intriguing narrative. The first clock, imported from Odessa, emerged in 1842. The mechanism itself broke after seven years and was replaced by a new one from Austria. The revised hours were in effect until the outbreak of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War. They are still positioned atop the Triumphal Arch today, elegant and in order, completing the monument's ensemble.

  9. Stephen the Great Park is a major attraction in Moldova's capital, Chisinau. It is Moldova's oldest park, founded in 1818 by an engineer from the Russian Imperial Army. This park draws a great number of tourists every day, particularly those who want to go for a stroll and take in the scenery.

Along the park's border, there are seven entrances. Two marble lions stand watch at one of the park's gates. Their past is a classic central park mystery. There are only rumors that they belonged to a manor home, but after it was destroyed during WWII, the monuments were transported and erected in the Public Garden. The monument to the Russian poet Pushkin was unveiled in the Public Garden in 1885, and it is now regarded the town's oldest intact bust.

The park has over 50 varieties of plants and trees, some of which are nearly 200 years old, including a gigantic acacia. Originally, the lane had 12 bronze busts of classic figures mounted on polished red granite poles. The Avenue of Classics now houses 29 busts of notable people, as well as a variety of cultural events. The monument to Stephen the Great and Holy is one of the park's most outstanding works.

  10. The Chișinău Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova is regarded the greatest local area to relax while appreciating the beauty of nature. Because it is located in the city, this park is ideal for lengthy walks along its roads and alleyways. The Russian Academy of Science founded the garden in 1950, and it now has over ten thousand plant types. Visitors are mainly taken by the blossoming magnolia and Japanese cherry trees.

The park contains a waterfall made up of four lakes that provide enough water to irrigate the garden's plants even in dry years. The garden is split into many sectors, including an arboretum, components of Moldovan flora, floricultural, medicinal and experimental tropical and subtropical plant sectors with greenhouses, and a variety of minor exhibitions. The "Alpinarium," created from Cosăuți stones in recent years near the administrative building, has become a superb point for observing the park's lower side.

This garden is widely regarded as one of the most popular weekend destinations. Visitors come here to wander through the alleys and ascend to the top of the "Alpinarium" with their family and friends. The Botanical Garden has two tourist attractions: the pink magnolia tree, which blooms in late April, and the Japanese cherry, which blooms in early May. A substantial area of the botanical garden was transformed into a chain of eateries, playgrounds, ice cream parlors, and a zoo in 2001. Wild ducks, doves, thrushes, and other birds are frequently seen here. There is a wonderful garden for you to enter the Botanical Garden's beautiful fantasy world.
