The Chișinău Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova is regarded the greatest local area to relax while appreciating the beauty of nature. Because it is located in the city, this park is ideal for lengthy walks along its roads and alleyways. The Russian Academy of Science founded the garden in 1950, and it now has over ten thousand plant types. Visitors are mainly taken by the blossoming magnolia and Japanese cherry trees.
The park contains a waterfall made up of four lakes that provide enough water to irrigate the garden's plants even in dry years. The garden is split into many sectors, including an arboretum, components of
Moldovan flora, floricultural, medicinal and experimental tropical and subtropical plant sectors with greenhouses, and a variety of minor exhibitions. The "Alpinarium," created from Cosăuți stones in recent years near the administrative building, has become a superb point for observing the park's lower side.
This garden is widely regarded as one of the most popular weekend destinations. Visitors come here to wander through the alleys and ascend to the top of the "
Alpinarium" with their family and friends. The Botanical Garden has two tourist attractions: the pink magnolia tree, which blooms in late April, and the Japanese cherry, which blooms in early May. A substantial area of the botanical garden was transformed into a chain of eateries, playgrounds, ice cream parlors, and a zoo in 2001. Wild ducks, doves, thrushes, and other birds are frequently seen here. There is a wonderful garden for you to enter the Botanical Garden's beautiful fantasy world.
