Spain, South America, Turkey, Italy, and Romania are just some of the places where you can find branches of this global financial powerhouse.


    Banco de Bilbao was established on May 28, 1857, in Bilbao, Spain. The "Ciudad BBVA" complex in Madrid is where BBVA's operations are managed. It ranks behind only Banco Santander and Caixabank as Spain's largest financial institution. The stock is traded on the stock exchanges in Madrid, New York, and Mexico. CaixaBank is headquartered in Valencia, Spain, and has major operational hubs in both Madrid and Barcelona. After Banco Santander and BBVA, it is Spain's third-largest bank in terms of market capitalization.

    Mapfre

    The headquarters of Mapfre, S.A., are in the Madrid neighborhood of Majadahonda. The company used to be known as Mutualidad de la Agrupación de Propietarios de Fincas Rsticas de Espaa (Mutualidad de la Agrupación de Propietarios de Fincas Rsticas of Spain), but now it just goes by the acronym Mapfre. In addition to being the largest non-life insurer in Latin America, it also has the title of "leading insurance company" in Spain.

    The Commerce Insurance Group of Webster, Massachusetts, a significant supplier of auto insurance, was acquired by the business in October 2007 for more than €1.5 billion. The 2008 edition of Fortune's Global 500 list included Mapfre. The firm is Rafael Nadal's official sponsor. InsureandGo, a travel insurance company based in the United Kingdom, was acquired by Mapfre in October 2010 for an unknown sum. It ranks as Spain's fourth-largest banking conglomerate. It consists of numerous financial institutions, labels, affiliates, and parent banks. It's a universal bank that caters to both high-net-worth individuals and small and medium-sized businesses, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions.

    Bankinter

    Spanish-based financial services provider Bankinter, S.A. has its headquarters in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Since 1972, it has been traded on the Bolsa de Madrid and is included in the Ibex 35 Index. In 1965, Banco Santander and Bank of America formed a partnership to form this bank specifically for the industrial sector.


    Bankinter is worth $5.50 billion as of April 2023. Based on its current market capitalization, BankInter is the 2257th most valuable corporation in the world. Bankinter has reported TTM revenue of $2.36 billion in its most recent financial report. The company's revenue in 2021 was $2.31 billion, up from $2.12 billion in the previous year.


    Bankinter announced in September 2015 that it had acquired Barclays' retail business in Portugal, including 84 locations, as well as Barclays Life and Pensions, a joint venture between Bankinter and Mapfre.
