As of 2021, it will be the 11th tallest residential tower in the world after Jakarta's Autograph Tower, the tallest building in Australia, the second-tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and the third-tallest freestanding building in the Southern Hemisphere. Australia 108, formerly 70 Southbank Boulevar, is a residential skyscraper in the Southbank area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Constructed in November 2019, the building surpassed the Eureka Tower to become the tallest building in Australia in terms of roof height and surpassed the Q1 Tower to become the second-tallest building in Australia. The World-Class Land development project consists of a 316.7 m (1,039 ft) residential building with 1,105 apartments on 100 floors. Construction of the renovated Fender Katsalidis Architects for the Brookfield Multiplex began in 2015 and completed in 2020.
Prior to its present form, Australia 108 was planned to first construct a 72-story residential building, 226 m (741 ft) high. In 2012, the plan was revised and resubmitted in favor of a 388 m (1,273 ft) 108-story project. The proposal was approved by the state in March 2013. However, it was put on hold four months after it struggled to meet conditions imposed by government agencies, including VicRoads and the Civil Aviation Safety Administration.

Eureka Tower is a 297.3 m (975 ft) tall skyscraper located in Melbourne's Southbank area, Victoria, Australia. Construction began in August 2002, and the exterior was completed on June 1, 2006. The square was completed in June 2006 and the building officially opened on October 11, 2006. The project was designed by Melbourne architecture firm Fender Katsalidis Architects and built by Grocon (Grollo Australia).
The tower was developed by Eureka Tower Pty Ltd, a joint venture between Daniel Grocon, investor Tab Fried and one of the tower's architects, Nonda Katsalidis. It was the world's tallest residential tower in height[5] until it surpassed Dubai's Ocean Heights and HHHR towers. It was Melbourne's tallest building from 2006 to 2019 to the Australian 108 Summit. Currently, the third-tallest building in Australia at 108 after the first block in Queensland and Australia, and the second-tallest building (without a spire ... ) behind the last skyscraper. Crown Sydney, also known as One Barangaro, is a high-rise building in Barangaroo, New South Wales, Australia. Developed by Crown Resorts, it consists primarily of a hotel, residential apartments and a casino. Designed by WilkinsonEyre, it is 271.3 m (890 ft) tall and with 75 floors, it is the tallest building in Sydney and the 4th tallest building in Australia.
Construction began in October 2016 and was completed in March 2020. Crown Sydney was completed in December 2020. As part of a city redevelopment plan, the original Barangaroo hotel construction concept was first launched in 2010. This concept revolved around a 213 m (698 ft) tall hotel tower built on a pier that primarily extended 150 m (492 ft) into the harbor. In response to public response, the tower was lowered to 159 meters (522 ft) and the length of the quay to 85 m (279 ft). These proposals were not supported.

Aurora Melbourne Central is a 270.5 m (887 ft) high residential skyscraper in Melbourne, Australia. It is the third-tallest building in Melbourne and the fifth tallest in Australia.
Developed by Malaysia- headquartered UEM Sunrise and designed by Elenberg Fraser, the project was first proposed in 2014 and was approved in October 2014 by then Planning Minister Matthew Guy.
When the tower was completed in 2019, Aurora Melbourne Central was the second-tallest building in Melbourne after the Eureka Tower. Aurora includes 959 residential units and 252 serviced apartments on 86 floors. Therefore, it will be one of the largest residential buildings in Australia. Construction on the $730 million project began in October 2015 by ProBuild,and the skyscraper topped-out in late 2018. Completion is anticipated in 2019.

residential tower includes 1,138 one-, two- and three-room apartments, as well as sub-penthouses and penthouses. The 89th floor lounge terrace features Australia's tallest infinity pool. The project includes an eight-story underground car park with a capacity of 980 vehicles.
The project was developed by Billbergia and AMP Capital with support from US debt finance conglomerate Invesco.

The 57-story building designed by Denton Corker Marshall was completed in March 1991. With a change of developers towards the end of the project, the lobby area was designed by Johnson Burgey.
