Abita Brewing Company

Abita Brewing Company is located in a pine forest 30 miles north of New Orleans. In its first year, the brewery produced 1,500 cases of beer. They have no idea what they have started. By 1994, they were outgrowing their original location, so they moved up the road to a larger facility to meet demand.

They produce more than 125,000 cases of beer and 13,500 cases of soda in their state-of-the-art brewing facility. Wine and beer are brewed in small batches, handcrafted by a team of dedicated workers with the goal of the highest quality. This pride, along with the brewing process, is what makes their great beers. The company is privately owned and operated by local shareholders, many of whom have been with the team since day one.

Abita beer has no preservatives, additives or stabilizers and is cold filtered. The result of this is to deliver the highest quality and freshest tasting beers proven by loyal customers and the great Southern chefs who use Abita Beer in their cooking recipes.
