Al Azhar University-Gaza

Al Azhar University-Gaza, founded in 1991, is a non-profit public higher-education institution in the Gaza Strip's capital of Gaza City (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 residents). Al Azhar University-Gaza (AUG) is a major (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Palestinian higher education institution that is officially accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Al Azhar University-Gaza (AUG) offers a variety of courses and programs that lead to legally recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields.

This Palestinian higher-education school, which is 29 years old, has a stringent admission policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. With an admittance rate of 60-70 percent, this Palestinian higher education institution is considered selective. International students are welcome to apply for admission.

AUG also offers a library, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and remote learning possibilities, as well as administrative services to students.
