Al Azhar University-Gaza, founded in 1991, is a non-profit public higher-education institution in the Gaza Strip's capital of Gaza City (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 residents). Al Azhar University-Gaza (AUG) is a major (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Palestinian higher education institution that is officially accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
