Hebron University, founded in 1971, is a non-profit public higher education school in the West Bank's significant city of Hebron (population range of 500,000-1,000,000).
Hebron University (HU) is a coeducational Palestinian higher education school that is officially recognized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The university operates on a semester structure, with two four-month semesters beginning in the fall and spring, as well as a summer intense semester.
The university has a registration policy that welcomes students from all walks of life in Palestine. The Tawjihi (matriculation certificate) or its equivalent is required to apply for study. It features a unique financial aid program that supports needy students with grants and loans.
The following organizations are affiliated with the university: The International Association of Universities, the Community of Mediterranean Universities, the Islamic Universities League, and others are members of the International Association of Universities. Arab Universities Association (AARU), The university is also accredited by the European Union and has a PADOR and PIC number.
Hebron University (HU) offers a variety of courses and programs that lead to legally recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields. Students from other countries are welcome to apply.
A library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning options, as well as administrative services, are among the academic and non-academic facilities and services available to students at HU.
