The Islamic University of Gaza

The Islamic University of Gaza, ranked third among the best universities in Palestinian Territories, founded in 1978, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Gaza City (population range of 500,000-1,000,000), Gaza Strip.

The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Palestinian higher education university nominally linked with the Islamic religion, as authorized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in a variety of fields, including pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees.

This 42-year-old Palestinian university has a strict admission procedure based on students' previous academic records and ratings. With an admittance rate of 60-70 percent, this Palestinian higher education institution is considered selective. International students are welcome to apply for admission.

IUG also provides a library, sports facilities, financial help and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services to students.
