Amnesia: Collection
Frictional Games' Amnesia: Collection is a survival horror adventure video game published in 2010 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 platform, and in 2018 for the Xbox One. The game follows a protagonist named Daniel as he explores Brennenburg, a dark and ominous castle while attempting to save his sanity by avoiding creatures and disturbing happenings. The game garnered great feedback from critics and earned two prizes from the Independent Games Festival.
The game was initially distributed freely via internet distribution but has subsequently been retailed by 1C Company in Russia and Eastern Europe, as well as THQ in North America. A collection of five short tales set in the setting of Amnesia was also released, authored by Mikael Hedberg and drawn by the game's concept artists. Furthermore, the game's music is available for purchase, and a free content expansion Justine, as well as various fan-made expansions and storylines for its unique "Custom Story" game mode, have been published.
