Anse Intendance (Mahé)

Anse Intendance is a beautiful, wild beach in the south of Mahé. The beach at the island's southern edge is recognized for its tropical, raw beauty. Anse Intendance is a very long beach with powdery smooth sand and gorgeous seas in vibrant green and blue. These waves are agitated by high winds, adding to the beach's wild appeal.

A word of caution: the sea may get rather turbulent, and you should only swim if the conditions are safe. Locals frequently enjoy surfing in the bay since the conditions are ideal for surfboards and bodyboards. Aside from that, Anse Intendance is always ideal for sunbathing, and the numerous palm trees provide shade from the sun when you need it.

The Banyan Tree Resort is about the only thing in the entire harbor, with no other guesthouses or eateries around. However, there is a little beach bar that serves a few food and cool drinks to keep you going while you relax on the beach.
