Curieuse & St. Pierre (Praslin)

Curieuse is a little island off the coast of Praslin with an astonishing main feature – 300 gigantic turtles wandering freely! Along a trail through the island, encounter turtles, watch unique birds and other creatures and admire the lovely environment of the island, including mangroves and the famous Coco de Mer trees. Make a stop at one of the island's beaches, which are regarded as some of the most beautiful in Seychelles.

Curieuse does not have any hotels, however, it is possible to visit for the day. The best way to travel to Curieuse Island from Praslin is to take one of the many island hopping and snorkeling tours that depart from Praslin regularly. The majority of these excursions will also include a stop at neighboring St Pierre Islet, which is a must-see when visiting Seychelles. An excursion to Curieuse normally lasts 4-5 hours and includes a BBQ.
